INAMO’s founder and CEO Peter Colbert started INAMO after he went surfing one day at Manly and realised he didn’t have any money with him to pay for a coffee when he caught up with friends afterwards.
The light bulb moment came when he thought, "wouldn't it be great if I would go surfing, even go for a run or bike ride and not have to carry my wallet or mobile phone". To the dismay of his friends, Peter shot off to start cracking on what would that look like.
Peter applied his engineering background and 15 years’ experience in the FinTech payments industry to initially develop the CLASSIC CURL that would give people on the go a way to pay, without having to carry around or worry about the whereabouts and security of their wallet or phone.
The devices can be attached to most watch & fitness bands and will enable the wearer to enjoy the freedom & convenience of tap-and-go payments where ever Visa payWave is accepted.
Since the early days, INAMO has expanded it's range with the new sleeker Curl and the Wave that easily slips onto your key-ring; with other wearable products in development.
